True to the original: Little Beaver Miniature (1987) by Vitra

Cardboard furniture is an inexpensive alternative to conventional furniture. That was also the basic idea behind this design from the 1960s by Frank Gehry. You can get this special armchair by Vitra here as a miniature to put in your display case and admire!

Miniatures Collection by Vitra

The Vitra Design Museum houses around 7,000 pieces of furniture, over 1,000 lamps and numerous archives and estates of famous design greats such as Charles and Ray Eames, Verner Panton and Alexander Girard. This makes the collection one of the most important holdings of furniture design in the world. For more than 20 years now, the museum has been recreating the milestones of furniture design from its collection in miniature form.

The chairs are scaled down to one sixth of their size and modelled on the historical original down to the smallest detail, both in terms of construction, material and colouring. Even the natural grain of wood, the reproduction of the smallest screws or the most elaborate manufacturing methods are just like the original. Thus, the replicas of the Miniatures Collection by Vitra are popular collector's items.

Material and format

The small miniature is 14.5 cm wide, 15 cm deep and 14.5 cm high. It comes in a printed wooden box and with a brochure.
