Limited: Wooden Dolls Large Wooden Figure No.1 Super Large Vitra LIMITED EDITION
The Wooden Dolls from the design pen of Alexander Girard are a well-known collection of wooden figures with animal or human-like characters. The colourful figures were created with inspiration from Girard's folk art collection. He made them by hand in 1952 to decorate his home in Santa Fe. The originals are now in the Girard estate in the Vitra Design Museum and are the inspiration for the new re-edition.
Material and format
The Wooden Dolls in the limited size super large are designed in a scale of 4:15:1. No. 1 is 80 cm high. Like the small Wooden Dolls, these large figures are also handmade and painted, which makes each figure absolutely unique. The Wooden Dolls in this version are limited to 1000 pieces and numbered.
