Object cradle Tecta
Your advantages with einrichten design
personal, individual, passionately
Moveable: Bauhaus cradle from Tecta. Even cradles have the right to a chic Bauhaus design. That's what designer Peter Keler thought and designed a chic Bauhaus cradle in 1922.
Thanks to its extraordinary design, the Tecta Cradle is an eye-catcher in a class of its own.
Material and size
The round frame of the design cradle is made of blue painted steel. The outer panels of the side walls shine in the strongest colors. These are painted yellow and red. The cradle interior is painted white. The rectangular recesses made of natural wickerwork ensure an interesting style break. The diameter of the Tecta cradle is 60 cm, the depth 75 cm.
Design
The cradle is Peter Keler's most famous work. It was designed by Keler for the first Bauhaus exhibition in 1923. The cradle contains the typical Bauhaus ingredients: triangles, rectangles, circles and the primary colors yellow, red and blue. The colors are based on the color theory of the painter Wassily Kandinsky.
The cradle was part of a bed program for man, woman and child. For man there were right-angled head and foot parts, for the woman a semicircle. The cradle was a symbiosis of both and was supplemented with another geometric form: the triangle. Please note that the Bauhaus cradle is not necessarily a cradle due to its compact size.
