Wick Chair by Design House Stockholm ist a extraordinary dining chair made of wood which combines airiness and stability.
Wick comes from the designers Jesper Stahl and Karl Malmvall who both have created various furniture for Design House Stockholm.
Tradition meets Avantgarde
Anders Färdig boss of Design House Stockholm was surprised when the designers told him the idea for the Wick Chair. The model was a traditional woven Scandinavian basket.
The woven element from the basket design was transferred into the seating shell by Jesper Stahl & Karl Malmvall. It is made of wooden veneer as this can be bend easily into the shape the designers wanted.
In contrast to that the chair frame is made of solid wood which gives the design chair the needed stability.
Into the dining room
The Wick Chair by Design House Stockholm is perfect as a chair for the dining room where it sets highlights with its Scandinavian design.
Especially handy: as shown in the pictures the chair can be put on the table top thanks to the hole in the back – thus you can clean your floor without having to move the dining chairs.
