The well-known Flowerpot pendant light from andtradition became synonymous with the flower power movement in the 1960s. Its design reflects a time when conventions were bypassed and an open and modern mentality was established. This was entirely in keeping with the harmonious and peaceful attitude of designer Verner Panton, who was one of the most forward-looking talents of his time.

Throughout his career, the designer has produced modern luminaires with personality that are unrivalled by any other Scandinavian designer. His remarkable confidence in the unlimited possibilities of form led him to develop a number of new theories about how lighting works and how it can influence its surroundings.

Material and format

The lamp is made of lacquered metal. It is 16 cm high and has a diameter of 23 cm. The cable is 3 metres long.
