Royal: VLA62 mirror from Carl Hansen
Designed for the royal rest room in the Copenhagen Broadcasting House, the VLA62 mirror from Carl Hansen is the perfect companion. Each piece of furniture in the back room to the royal box was specially designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen. Made from verified FCS wood, the mirror consists of eight parts that are assembled in such a way that the characteristic grain is retained. This makes it a feast for the eyes in any room and on any wall. The deep, concave frame is sanded by hand to achieve a smooth, tactile finish and has organically rounded corners.
Carl Hansen & Søn - Danish design since 1908
What began in 1908 as a small furniture workshop on the Danish island of Funen has developed into a successful and globally recognised design company. Since the carpenter Carl Hansen founded the company, two aspects have taken centre stage: an uncompromising commitment to the finest craftsmanship and collaboration with exceptional designers. The development of Carl Hansen & Søn was significantly influenced by the well-known Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. The creative connection with him began in 1949 when Carl Hansen's son met Wegner and enabled the then still unknown designer to design an extensive furniture series. The Wishbone Chair, also known as CH24, is part of the collection conceived at that time and is absolutely well-known and popular today.
Material and format
The mirror is made of FSC-verified solid oak and measures H 175 cm x W 80 cm x D 6 cm.
