With its noble blue decorations and the unusual retro charm, the Eva vase is perfect for large bouquets of flowers. But due to its elaborate painting and its peculiar shape, it is also a great furnishing object without filling, which brings nostalgia for the 70s to life.
Designer Bjørn Wiinblad
Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Copenhagen in 1918. He showed a distinct talent for inventing and drawing imaginative worlds at an early age. He first began an apprenticeship as a typographer at the age of 17, but quickly realised that his interest lay in an artistic career. After his apprenticeship, he went straight to the Royal Danish Academy of Art and chose the graphic arts department there. Wiinblad's style was anything but Danish, for where functionalism was en vogue at the time, the designer chose a more playful path with ruffled motifs, many colours and romantic universes. Thus, he also devoted himself to drawing on ceramics for which he is known today. in 1957 Wiinblad became head of design for the well-known German porcelain brand Rosenthal.
Material and Format
The vase is made of porcelain and decorated with blue ornaments. It is 18,5 cm high with a diameter of 12,5 cm. The vase is not dishwasher safe!
