USM Haller: furniture makers with a system
Behind the acronym USM are the initials of the company founder Ulrich Schärer and the first letter of the town Münsingen in Switzerland. Thanks to the invention of the junction point in 1965, furniture could be producedaccording to the modular principle - an ingenious coup. Over time, the furniture originally designed for the office became so popular that it could be found in many homes around the world - and still is.
