Futuristic: Uncle Jim armchair by Kartell

The Uncle Jim armchair is another highlight among many beautiful pieces of furniture that the designer Philippe Starck has developed for Kartell. Here, it is first and foremost the futuristic look that makes this armchair a very special highlight both indoors and outdoors. It consists of transparent polycarbonate. It almost seems as if the person sitting is floating in the air. At the same time, the beautiful design piece also convinces with very down-to-earth features: it is extremely comfortable, very robust and extraordinarily easy to clean.

With the Uncle Jack sofa, you will also find the matching complementary piece in our online shop!

Design by Philippe Starck

The name Philippe Starck should be familiar to everyone. With Juicy Salif, for example, the French exceptional talent has designed the probably most famous juice squeezer in the world for Alessi and the famous Masters chairs and Ghost chairs by Kartell also come from his pen. Incidentally, Philippe Starck gets his best ideas on an island, where he devotes himself entirely to his creativity in a rudimentarily furnished fisherman's hut.

Kartell - Plastic for Art

The Italian company Kartell is one of the most dazzling brands in the world of design. The beautifully shaped products made in Milan combine industrial know-how with an unusual design language, which has earned the manufacturer a great reputation on the international stage. It is above all the famous plastic furniture that has already achieved cult status.

Material and format

The Uncle Jim armchair is made of polycarbonate and is available in the versions white coloured, transparent crystal clear, black coloured and smoke crystal clear.

The robust armchair for indoor and outdoor use is 72 cm wide, 73 cm deep and 104 cm high. The seat height is 39 cm.
