Design duo Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina
Michele de Lucchigraduated in architecture from the Politecnico in Milan. From 1989 to 1993, he worked with Studio Sottsass Associati on various architectural and industrial design projects before setting uphis own studio in 1994 . Among other things, he has worked on important architectural projects in north-eastern Italy, such as the historic Enel archive centre in Mestre.
Giancarlo Fassina quickly focussed on lighting design after completing his studies at the Milan Politecnico . Light is Fassina's vocation - he is fascinated by every detail and studied shadows, angles and exposure factors.
Together with Michele De Lucchi, he won the Compasso d'Oro in1989 for the design of Artemide's Tolomeo luminaires.
