The simple and classic look of the Tolomeo Mega Terra perfectly complements a variety of styles. With its movable arm, the luminaire can be flexibly aligned.
Design duo Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina
Michele de Lucchi graduated in architecture from the Politecnico in Milan. From 1989 to 1993 he worked with Studio Sottsass Associati on various architectural and industrial design projects before setting up his own studio in 1994. Among other things, he has worked on important architectural projects in the north-east of Italy, such as the Enel Historical Archive Centre in Mestre.
Giancarlo Fassina concentrated on lighting design soon after graduating from the Milan Politecnico. Light is part of Fassina's vocation - he is fascinated by every detail and studied shadows, angles and lighting factors.
Together with Michele De Lucchi, he won the Compasso d'Oro in 1989 for the design of Artemides Tolomeo luminaires.
Material and format
The designer lamp is made of aluminium and plastic-stabilised parchment paper. The base is made of polished aluminium. The lamp also has a spring balancing system.
