More than lighting: To-Tie T3 LED table lamp by Flos
The exciting To-Tie table lamp, the first piece of the young designer Guglielmo Poletti for Flos, looks like an art object. The aim of the Italian creative was to design a luminaire that breaks out of its role as a mere lighting object, moves into the foreground as a design object itself and creates an atmospheric ambience.
Sustainability also played a major role in the production of To-Tie. Thus, the table lamp was assembled without any kind of glue. Individual parts can therefore be easily replaced and can also be recycled separately.
Thinking by Doing
Just get started and try it out: Designer Guglielmo Poletti follows his intuitions and pushes materials to their limits of use. "In nine cases out of ten, an intuition doesn't lead me to where I thought it would have. And that's always exciting, and when you learn to trust that process you can never go back."
