Light art: To-Tie T1 LED table lamp from Flos
The exciting To-Tie table lamp, the first piece by young designer Guglielmo Poletti for Flos, looks like an art object. The aim of the Italian creative was to design a luminaire that breaks out of its role as a pure lighting object, moves into the foreground as a design object itself and creates an atmospheric ambience.
Sustainability also played a major role in the production of To-Tie. The table lamp was assembled without any kind of adhesive. Individual parts can therefore be easily replaced and can also be recycled separately.
Thinking by doing
Just get started and try it out: Designer Guglielmo Poletti follows his intuitions and pushes materials to their limits. "In nine out of ten cases, an intuition doesn't take me where I thought it would go. And that's always exciting, and once you learn to trust this process , you can never go back."
