Oblique: Tilt table lamp by Graypants
Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker have already celebrated numerous successes with their sustainable Scraplights collection. Identical in structure but different in form, several designs have been created. The spectrum ranges from the round Sun and Moon designs to the UFO-shaped Disc lamps and the basket-like Ausi creations.
Now, the Tilt lamps add another look to the well-known collection. The special feature of the table lamp is the diagonally positioned lampshade, which allows a slight view into the lamp's interior and thus spreads even more light in your rooms. Due to the specially processed cardboard, Tilt provides an extraordinary play of light and warm accents in the living room or bedroom when illuminated. But also when switched off, the table lamp inspires with its special look and the details worked in by hand.
Responsible design
For the designers Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker, who are also the founders of Graypants, environmental awareness comes first - so it is not surprising that recycled cardboard was chosen as material for the Scraplights. It's hard to believe that such a work of art can be created from it! The individual cardboard boxes are cut up by laser beams and are thus provided with filigree indentations.
Finally, all Scraplights receive their final shape by hand: Finally, the individual cardboard strips are glued by hand - with non-toxic glue, of course - and then given a fire-retardant coating.
