Leaping: The Jester Corkscrew by Alessi. The Jester is not only very distinctive, but also a true rarity. The design corkscrew is limited to 999 copies. And so you know which bottle opener is yours, this is numbered.

The Jester looks like a clown - or a fool - must look: with obligatory fools´ cap, squeaky cardboard nose, clown shoes and a generally prevailing colour delight, both in clothing and make-up.

Designer

The designer Marcel Wanders designed The Jester 2016 for the Italian label Alessi. The corkscrew, which is highly unconventional in terms of its appearance and functionality, explodes "in a color riff that rises and falls when the bottle is opened." The limited Circus collection comprises a total of five specimens, one more unusual than the other these are all available online at our store, such as The Strongman or The Candyman, which specializes in sweets.

Material and size

The world's greatest corkscrew is made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel. The bottle opener is 19.3 cm high, the length is 16.2 cm and the width is 6 cm. The Alessi corkscrew consists of a total of 40 individual parts. At The Jester, on the one hand, the highest craftsmanship and, on the other hand, the latest technologies are used: from the wax melt process to the cutting laser. Some parts are painted, some shine in the polished stainless steel look.
