Shape of light: Taccia LED table lamp white from Flos
The beautiful Taccia lamp is the new edition of the classic from 1962 and is now also available from Italian lighting specialist Flos as an energy-saving LED version with an adjustable lampshade. Thanks to its imposing size, you can use the elegant eye-catching lamp both as a table lamp and as a floor lamp.
The warm white light with a colour temperature of 2700 Kelvin provides the cosiness factor. Speaking of light: thanks to the dimmer, the brightness can also be adjusted. If the height of 64 cm and the diameter of 49.5 cm seem too big for you: we also offer the lamp in a smaller format called "Taccia Small".
The designers
The two designers - and brothers - Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni created this designer lamp back in 1958. However, it was another four years before this went into series production. Achille Castiglioni was an industrial designer through and through: 14 of his pieces are on display at the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. Castiglioni was not only a designer, but also a professor. He taught for many years at the Faculty of Architecture in Turin and in Milan, where he passed on his knowledge to students.
