The extraordinary Taccia LED table lamp by Flos comes with an adjustable lamp shade.
The beautiful Taccia lamp is a new version of the classic from 1962 and is offered by the IItalian lamp specialist
Flos now has an energy saving LED-version. You can use the classy eye-catcher lamp as a table or floor lamp.
Shining light
For the comfort feeling the warmwhite lamp has a colour temperature of 2700 Kelvin. Apropos light: thanks to the
dimmers the brightness can be regulated. Should the height of 54 cm and diameter of 49,5 cm be too big:
We offer the lamp in smaller size with the name "Taccia Small“.
Acryl glass
The outer lamp shade is made of transparent PMMA respectively polymethylmethacrylat, a thermoplastic material.
You coulud say Acryl glass. Acrylglas has a great advantage: In contrast to normal glass it is impact resistant,
shock resitant and very sturdy. Acryl galss is very light. Since the acryl glass is not fixed to the base it can be turned
in the desired direction.
A design icon in two colours
We offer the Taccia LED lamp in our Onlineshop in two different versions: with black and with silver anodized body.
The base is made of nickel and polished steel, the diffusor is white lacquered aluminium. The cable is 2.2 meter.
The Designer
The two designers – and brothers – Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni have created this designer lamp in 1958.
Until it was produced in series four years went by. Achille Castiglioni was an Industrial designer through and through:
14 of his pieces are displayed in the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. Castiglioni was not only designer but
also professor. Many years he taught at the Faculity for architecture in Turin and Milano and gave his knowledge to his
students.
