Simply ingenious, ingeniously simple

The herb and peppermill by Skeppshult is as simple as it is brilliant thanks to the push-and-turn principle. And this is how it works: To crush the herbs or the pepper, turn the two cast iron parts in the opposite direction.

How fine would you like it? You can determine the degree of grinding depending on how much pressure you spend or how often you rotate. The mill is suitable for pepper and herbs alike. The latter in both dried and fresh form. The integrated storage container, which is located under the oak lid, saves your spices.

Swedish handiwork

All Skeppshult products - thus also the Swing herb and peppermill - are made by hand, more precisely in the southern Swedish Småland. Founded in 1906, the foundry is the only one left in Scandinavia to produce household products from cast iron. How the production looks like can be viewed in the video below.

Cast iron: care

Cast iron is a "raw" material. On contact with water or steam it can rust. Please note that rust is not a reason for complaint. However, the rust spots can usually be simply removed with steel wool. An after-treatment with cooking oil protects the Swing herb and peppermill. We would also recommend not to grind salt.
