Tripod: the Superloon LED floor lamp by Flos. What looks like a camera tripod are the very decorative legs of the Superloon luminaire from Flos. And placed on those three legs is the actual eyecatcher: the light disc, which can be turned around its own axis and, moreover, fulfills all requests for illumination.

The design of the extravagant Superloon light comes from the English product designer Jasper Morrison. In 2016 the designer lamps were awarded with the prestigious EDIDA Award at the Milan Furniture Fair.

All a question of adjustment

What light would you like? A very warm feel-good light? Or rather a trace less warm, for example to read? You have the choice. Both the light colour and brightness can be set individually. The sensor for switching on and off as well as for adjusting the brightness (from 10-100%) is located on the base.

Good to know: The brighter the light the higher the colour temperature (2,000-2,800 Kelvin). And where should the light be directed? To the ceiling or directly to your book? Here, too, you have free choice because both the light disc can be rotated by 360 degrees as well as the underlying ball joint.

The so-called edge LED technology is also used for the Superloon floor lamp from Flos. And right at the edge of the luminaire is a ring of LEDs. Normally, the diodes are distributed over the entire surface and are thus visible. With the Superloon floor light it is fortunately different.

Material and size

Are you looking for a small, graceful light? Then Superloon is the wrong light. However, if you are looking for a large, graceful floor lamp, Superloon is YOUR lamp. With a height of almost two meters, the designer lamp can hardly be overlooked.

The luminaire disc also does not have to hide with its diameter of 75.4 cm. But despite its stately height and large diameter, the design luminaire is anything but massive and heavy. The Superloon floor lamp from Flos is made of aluminum and high quality PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate = acrylic glass).
