Superloon Floor lamp Chrome Flos

Heavenly body: the chrome-coloured Superloon LED floor lamp by Flos. Three graceful legs, a spectacular light disk as well as a tremendous agility: Superloon sets new standards in terms of lighting design.

The designer Jasper Morrison was inspired by no less than the moon for his extravagant Superloon floor lamp. In addition to its luminosity, the Moon also has the ability to rotate around its own axis. Superloon does the same thing and radiates like a heavenly body thanks to revolutionary edge lighting technology and can also be rotated by 360 degrees (both light disc and semiround arc).

Material and size

The Superloon floor lamp by Flos is made of aluminum and PMMA (acrylic glass). With a height of nearly two meters, the design lamp is anything but small, so it is immediately apparent in the corner. Pure head: the round head of the lamp does not need to be hidden with its impressive diameter of approx. 75 cm. The chrome colour gives Superloon designer floor lamp a cool, timeless look.

Awarded Design

The Superloon floor lamp from Flos was awarded with the EDIDA-Award in 2016 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, which is the most important furniture fair in the world. Jasper Morrison

As mentioned, the designer Jasper Morrison is behind the design. Morrison's style is the perfect symbiosis between minimalism, functionalism and elegance. Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959 and grew up in New York. The English product and furniture designer, too, feels very much in touch with Germany: Morrison studied in Berlin, more precisely, at the Academy of Fine Arts. In addition, the exceptional designer was honored with the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Flexible

Both the brightness and colour temperature can be set individually. So you always have exactly the light you need: from atmospheric ambient light to reading lamp. One of the three legs of the tripod is equipped with a soft-touch sensor. The designer lamps are also equipped with a so-called dim-to-warm function, which means that the more you dim the light, the warmer and more comfortable it becomes.
