Suspended in the air: Slope bed Müller Möbelwerkstätten
The footboard of the design bed literally hangs in the air, giving Slope a tremendous lightness. You can easily do without a bedside cabinet. The headboard of the Slope bed offers both visible and invisible storage space.
The Slope beds are all Made in Germany - or "madeachterndiek" according to the manufacturer. This is Low German and means "behind the dike". And indeed, the Frisian town of Bockhorn, with its approx. 8450 inhabitants, is located directly on the North Sea. And where there is a sea, there is consequently also a dyke.
The designer Leonhard Pfeifer was born in the land of the hobbits, New Zealand. After studying product design in Australia, he opened his own design studio in London.
Müller Möbelwerkstätten
The flagship and stroke of genius of Müller Möbelwerkstätten is undoubtedly the stacking bed designed by Rolf Heide in 1966 - you can also order it online from us. When not in use, the stacking bed can be stacked on top of each other to save space. For more than 140 years, the medium-sized family business has been producing furniture of all kinds in the fifth generation.
Material and format
We offer the Slope bed by Müller Möbelwerkstätten in different lengths and widths. For the length you can choose between 200 cm, 210 cm and 220 cm, for the width between 140 cm, 160 cm and 180 cm. These dimensions always refer to the lying surface, i.e. this is how big the mattress can ultimately be.
The Slope bed is made of 18 mm thick birch plywood with CPL coating. CPL is the abbreviation for 'Continuous Pressure Laminate', in which several layers of paper are pressed in combination with melamine synthetic resin. The result is an extremely robust and easy-care surface. You will receive the Slope bed frame disassembled, the headboard is already pre-assembled. The total height of the Slope bed (with headboard) is 74 cm. The interior compartments are equipped with cable outlets. Cover plate is notched in two places to lead power cables to the back. The bed edge is 340 mm high
