New look: Seven / Series Chair 3107 by Fritz Hansen
To celebrate its 150-year company history, manufacturer Fritz Hansen developed the anniversary collection "Forever New". This comprises a careful selection of the most legendary designs of the last 150 years - and in new exciting looks.
It goes without saying that the famous Seven Chair by Arne Jacobsen should not be missing here! This chair is being launched with two exclusive cover fabrics. The icing on the cake is the anniversary plaque with which each Serie 7 chair is provided.
Elegant classic
The Series 7 chair 3107 by designer Arne Jacobsen, also called the Seven Chair, is a true classic among seating furniture. And practical as well: All Fritz Hansen Seven Chairs are stackable and thus space-saving to store.
The revolutionary thing about the Siebener chair at the time of its creation in 1955 was the layered gluing technique used in its manufacture. This was perfected in the 1920s and 1930s by Soeren C. Hansen - the grandson of the company founder Fritz Hansen. Arne Jacobsen, for his part, fully exploited the possibilities of layered gluing and thus created Fritz Hansen's best-selling designer chair to this day.
Material and format
The Seven Chair is 50 cm wide, 52 cm deep and 82 cm high. The seat height is 46 cm. The upholstered seat shell consists of walnut pressure moulded veneer, the base is made of chromed steel tubes. For the cover, you can choose from the following two anniversary versions:
- Grace leather - Chestnut: a brand new colour with a distinctive maroon shimmer, designed exclusively by Sørensen Leather for Fritz Hansen
- Fabric Vanir - Granite Brown: 92% virgin wool, 8% nylon; designed by fashion designer Raf Simons for Kvadrat and available exclusively at Fritz Hansen
