Self-contained: Self Watering Bottle self-watering planter from Side by Side
As you can see, the Self Watering Bottle planter consists of a wine bottle. The lower part of the bottle is a water reservoir and the upper part of the bottle, which is slipped over the other, provides space for the plant. The principle is very simple, as a wick hangs through the neck of the bottle and constantly transports water into the soil. This eliminates the need for daily watering. A cloth connected to the wick prevents soil from crumbling through the neck of the bottle.

Side by Side is a joint project involving several workshops for disabled people. Together with young designers, product lines are designed and developed with the aim of combining useful everyday objects and modern design. In this way, quality, design and function are united.
Material and format
The flower pot is made of glass, wick and cloth. It has a diameter of 7.5 cm.
