SE 42 - this is the name of the three-leg chair by Egon Eiermann, created by the designer for Wilde + Spieth, which has become a real classic.

Design language

For a long time, Egon Eiermann has worked on the lines of the SE 42, because this should be adapted to the human body shape as well as optically convince. The fact that this has been the best method can also be seen in the fact that Eiermann used the SE 42 as a model for later designs.

Why is the design chair SE 42 a real classic? Because he was the first design by Egon Eiermann, already realized by Wilde + Spieth in 1949 - and of course because his design is concise and timeless at the same time.

You have the choice: The three-legged dining chair SE 42 by Wilde + Spieth can be ordered here in our Onlineshop in natural beechwood or in two different designs in black stained.

Do you prefer colour? Then do not hesitate to contact us and we will inform you about the possibilities.

Egon Eiermann and Wilde+Spieth

Egon Eiermann is one of the best-known architects of the German post-war era. The architect has realized the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin and the German Embassy in Washington.

In search of suitable blinds for one of his buildings, Eiermann came across the manufacturer Wilde + Spieth. This was the beginning of an extremely fruitful collaboration, because through the collegial co-operation a true success collection emerged.

The chair SE 42 as well as other design classics from Wilde + Spieth can be found in the PDF under "Downloads".
