Drawn by nature: Roest wall lamp by Graypants
The wall lamp from the Roest collection by designer VanJoost could be described as a simple beauty. But there is much more behind the design than a simple cylinder. Here, nature has been allowed to take its course. Natural reactions between iron, oxygen, water and time provide the unmistakable look of the handmade lamp.
Opposites attract
By the way, the Zinc series also belongs to the Roest collection. You can order the beautifully cylindrical wall lamp also in the version made of galvanised steel. This is the natural counterpart to its rust-brown partner, because zinc has the property of never rusting.
Graypants x VanJoost
The design label Graypants was founded by Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker in Seattle. In 2012, Amsterdam joined them as another location. The company's recipe for success: responsible design, responsible choice of materials, responsible production.
In their first external collaboration, the founders teamed up with Dutch designer VanJoost to expand their portfolio of unusual luminaires. VanJoost shares Graypants' great fascination for nature and material research. Thus, with the jointly developed Roest collection, luminaires with unique aesthetics and character were created.
