Models of the Saarinen Conference Chair are present in all interiors designed by Florence Knoll, because the series has been one of the most popular of the manufacturer Knoll International for almost 70 years. The shapely seats are available with a wide variety of bases, so that the design chair is suitable for use in both living and working spaces. The design originated in a groundbreaking collection from 1957, in which Eero Saarinen transformed executive seating into a flowing, sculptural form.
Material and format
This model has a 5-star swivel base, available in chrome or black lacquer. The frame and upholstery are made of a moulded shell of polyurethane and plywood. There are a variety of fabrics and leathers to choose from for the upholstery. The chair is 62 cm wide, 62 cm deep and 84.5 cm high.
