Versatile: the Rely chair HW26 / HW27 from AndTradition
The classic Rely chair is constantly being further developed and has therefore been released in additional colour variants, which not only set the scene at the dining table, but can also be used in front of the desk. Designed by award-winning furniture designer Hee Welling, his furniture is characterised by honest minimalism. The Rely chair series also focuses on clear lines and simple silhouettes.
Designer Hee Welling
Danish designer Hee Welling studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and completed his Master's degree in furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003 and has since designed furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial design. Welling has received several awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA).
His designs have been used in international facilities such as the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament and Amazon's headquarters. As the son of a cabinetmaker, he has a strong fascination for production techniques and materials. It is therefore not surprising that his credo is to develop technically sophisticated products that are nevertheless accessible to a wide audience.
Material and format
The shell of the chair is made from 100% recycled polypropylene with glass fibres. The base is made from tubular steel made of tubular steel. The chair measures 54 cm in width, 55 cm in depth and 82 cm in height. The seat height is 46 cm. The weight is 5.2 kg.
