Three times three: REB 008 Kaari wall shelf by Artek. What happens when three black shelves meet three oak longitudinal struts? The beginning of a wonderful design friendship - and a wonderful order on top of that.
Material and size
The Kaari shelf by Artek is made of melamine, flat steel and solid oak. The shelves are directly coated with melamine and trimmed beautifully to high gloss, more precisely black high gloss finish. Each of the boards is 22 mm thick. The edges are protected with ABS. For wall mounting, three solid oak boards with protective lacquer cover are used. The clamps are made of black powder-coated flat steel.
With a length of 200 cm and a height of 142 cm, REB 008 Kaari by Artek offers plenty of space to store all the things of daily life: from books to plants.
Artek
Artek was founded in 1935 by four young idealists: Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl. The four tried to bring art and design together. Alvar Aalto was a gifted design talent. His designs still delight people around the globe today. The headquarters of Artek is located in Finland's capital Helsinki. The design of the REB 008 shelf is by design duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. These are not from Finland, but from France.
