Railway: Railway shelf marble of Ox Denmarq
In spring 2015, Ox Denmarq was accidentally supplied with three tonnes of steel, for which there was actually no benefit, as the steel had a very different composition than the one actually used by the Danish producer.
After several months of consideration, the company designed a new type of shelving system that required a lot of steel and the result was the Railway shelf- Railway because of its similarity to railway tracks and the ease with which other elements could be added.
What started as a mishap became a great design element, characterised by a variety of brass components and composed of Green Indio, White Carrara and Black Marquina marble slabs.
Material and size
The brass frame consists of two high gables (200 cm), two low gables (100 cm), a stabilising cross and 25 crossbars. In addition, there are 10 marble slabs in different types of marble.
