Exhibition piece: Quaderna table with drawer from Zanotta
The Quaderna series from Zanotta was created at a time when everything in Italy was being questioned and rethought. A time of upheaval in which Italian architecture and design culture were passionate. During this time, a group of students from Florence left their mark on the world of design with their idea of the "constant monument". Designed by Abet Print and Superstudio and named after Misura.
The latter filled everything with many square magmas, creating a histogram of architecture that produced furniture and atmospheres with so-called "super surfaces as a mental attitude model". Aurelio Zanotta was ready to take up this idea and turn the abstract thought construct into reality with the Quaderna series.
To this day, Quaderna furniture is a special eye-catcher in a timeless and thoroughly elegant collection. The white, square laminate covers the furniture and creates architectural landscapes.
Material and format
The table is made of plywood covered in white laminate. It is 132 cm wide, 54 cm deep and 75 cm high.
