50 years: PRATONE® FOREVER Gufram
For Design Week in Milan 2021, Gufram celebrated the 50th anniversary of the famous Pratone - a visionary and non-conformist design that is now a special classic. In its honour, the special edition was created, made of polyurethane like the original, but additionally covered with a elastic wool bouclé fabric.
"An icon is eternal, but to be contemporary it must adapt to the present."

Material and format
PRATONE® FOREVER is more restrained in its dimensions - it is 30% smaller than the original and has 25 rods instead of the classic 42 to adapt to the spaces of modern homes. The fabric is suitable for both private and commercial use, as it complies with the legal regulations for furnishing public spaces. The base still bears its name in inverted commas: Whereas the original version has the word "PRATONE" engraved directly into the polyurethane, here it is printed onto the fabric using black screen-printing techniques, leaving the original font unchanged.
It measures W125 x D 118 x H 93 cm.
