Ponti umbrella stand by Schönbuch. In shops and hotels, one is used to stowing the umbrella in an umbrella stand. This is not always the case in private homes. And then the question arises: where to go with the wet umbrella?
The design is by designer Christian Haas. More minimalistic one would hardly have been able to design an umbrella stand. It was also "saved" on metal, which gives the Schönbuch umbrella stand an elegant, filigree look.
A little tip: The upper frame is also ideal for hanging towels on it.
Different versions
Ponti by Schönbuch is available in two colors: black and rosewood. The black umbrella stand has a likewise black marble drip tray. Although this is not quite correct, the marble (Nero Marquina) is crossed by white lines. The rosewood colored umbrella stand has the benefit of a white drip tray and therefore looks Scandinavian chic. Also this marble (Bianco Carrara) is not one hundred percent "clean".
Material and size
The design umbrella stand is made of powder-coated steel and marble. The latter is used for the removable drip tray. Too bad? Not at all, because the drip tray is easy to see and therefore part of the ensemble.
Ponti by Schönbuch is 50 cm high. The diameter is 21.1 cm. The Ponti umbrella stand is suitable for tall umbrellas.
