Results-oriented: DCM Chair by Vitra
The DCM chair by Vitra was created as a result of earlier experiments by Charles and Ray Eames. DCM stands for Dining Chair Metal and refers to the chair's metal base.
In many years of experiments, the design couple Charles and Ray Eames researched a method to adapt plywood to the shapes of the human body in the best possible way. The chairs of the Plywood Group are the result and they still have a contemporary effect today and have thus become real classics.
Charles and Ray Eames - design duo
The Eames couple is one of the most important personalities in the field of design in the 20th century. In addition to designing furniture, the two also made films, took photographs and put together exhibitions. Vitra is the only legitimate manufacturer of the Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.
Material and format
Both seat and back are made of veneered moulded plywood in ash or walnut. The base is made of chromed or powder-coated tubular steel.
It is 51.5 cm wide, 56.5 cm deep and 73.5 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.
