USM Haller - A success story
Elegant design in technical perfection - a claim that the USM Haller company has made on itself for many years. What began in 1885 as a hardware store and locksmith's shop developed through the collaboration of Paul Schärer and the architect Fritz Haller into the high-quality USM Modular Furniture, which went into series production in 1969.
The well-known design is based on a furniture concept built on steel systems that can be adapted as desired and flexibly. Today, the manufacturer's portfolio includes simple and clear solutions that are characterised by their unmistakable design.
What makes the system so special? The so-called USM account point, which allows maximum flexibility thanks to several holes with screw threads and was patented in 1965.
The starting signal for the success story of USM Haller, which continues to this day, was the furnishing of the Rothschild bank in Paris in 1969. The potential of the innovative furniture system was quickly recognised and over the years it achieved world fame. In 2001, the USM Haller modular furniture system even became part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Material and format
The furniture is made of powder-coated and chromed metal. The sideboard is 152.3 cm wide, 37.3 cm deep and 64 cm high. It holds six flower pots with the following dimensions: Diameter rim 22 cm, diameter base 13.3 cm and height 20 cm. The pots are included in the delivery.
Please note that you will receive terracotta OR basalt coloured pots depending on the colour selection of the piece of furniture. You can see this in the picture of the respective variant.
