Craftsmanship: The PK60™ Coffee table by Fritz Hansen
In 1952, Poul Kjærholm designed the PK60™ Coffee table in collaboration with Fritz Hansen, which has not yet been published. The symbiosis of aesthetics and functionality was always in the foreground of the design. This can also be seen in the special shape of the table. As a trained carpenter, Poul Kjærholm has always had an interest in the most diverse building materials and created this design from glass and wood with artistic freedom.
Material and format
The wood veneer of the table consists of Swiss pine or black coloured ash, depending on the version. The tabletop is made of glass. The table measures 105 cm in diameter and 44 cm in height.
