The clearly visible grain of the pine gives the table an organic component that stands in clear contrast to the artificial, sculptural form. The voluminous octagonal base makes the Pine side table a real eye-catcher. In contrast to this, the narrow, rounded tabletop provides optical lightness.
Designer Simon Legald
Simon Legald graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in summer 2012. He designs objects that form a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. His preference for incorporating elementary construction methods into the design of a product is what distinguishes his style. For Legald, products must be self-explanatory to reflect perfect functionality. They have to fulfil functional aspects as well as psychological and aesthetic needs.
