Design icon in a new guise: Panton Chair beige SPECIAL VERSION from Vitra
Verner Panton's vision was to create a plastic chair made entirely from a single mould. He achieved this in 1999, when the injection moulding process made it possible to manufacture the Panton Chair entirely from hard-wearing polypropylene. Through-coloured with a matt finish - this is the design icon as we know it. The Panton Chair is now available as a limited edition in the trend colour light beige.
Verner Panton - Designgenie
Born in Denmark, Verner Panton studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen after attending technical school in Odense. After graduating, he worked with the designer Arne Jacobsen and founded his own design studio in 1955. His Panton Chair is considered an absolute classic of modern furniture design and one of its early versions even made it into the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
