Designer Paul Anker Hansen of Architectmade, has been fascinated by owls since early childhood. On his home island Bornholm there were many representatives of the animals and so he decided to erect a monument to his favourite birds.
The wooden figure Owl is reduced to the bare essentials and yet is immediately recognised as an owl - a masterpiece of the designer.

Playfulness is the focus of Paul Anker Hansen's design philosophy. For him, the land of childhood is "a land forever". And so his designs testify to his passion for creativity and the design of everyday objects, which are enhanced by playful components. His career began when he made small wooden gifts for his family and because of his love for animals, the right motifs were quickly found. His hobby turned into a career that since then has brought a smile to the lips of many people.
Material and size
The owl is available in two versions - natural or smoked oak - and in two sizes - small: H 8.5 x W 4.5 cm, large: H 17 x W 9 cm.
