The name of the pendant Oliv by Graypants comes from its shape: the original lamp resembles an olive.
Carton design
The designers Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker had the idea to produce lampshades made from recycled materials. That they used carton boxes is as extraordinary as witty.
You would like to know how the filigree structure of the Scraplights pendants by Graypants is created? Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker have choosen a modern device: a laser! It cuts the recycled boxes into defined parts.
Then these are processed by hand: The cut out elements are glued by hand – of course with toxin-free glue. The Oliv pendant is then treated with a flame resistant coating – safetey first!
Radiation artist
The Oliv pendant is a real work of art with its different structures. When swtiched on it holds a surprise - thanks to the partly translucent lamp shade pretty shadow plays are created on your wall - very pretty!
