Colour blocking: Nudo Rug Large carpet ames
This is where Sebastian Herkner's graphic design meets the high-quality weaving techniques of traditional craftsmen. The colour-blocking design and the different pile heights create a multi-dimensional effect. The designer was inspired by the shape of traditional masks for the pattern of the Nudo carpet.
ames - design that supports!
All products manufactured by ames are created in partnership with Colombian craftsmen. The skill, knowledge and care of the artesanos and artesanas ensure the exceptional quality of the designer furniture and accessories. The small and family-run ateliers manufacture by hand with raw materials mostly sourced from the country . For example, the PVC cords for the furniture of the manufacturer are made from recycled plastic.
Material and format
The carpet is made of 100 % natural wool, which is dyed and woven by hand in small workshops in the Colombian city of Cajicá by local artesanos and artesanas.
The Large version is 180 cm wide and 220 cm deep. For those who prefer something smaller, the Nudo Small is available in our online shop .
