Off to the outdoors: Mogensen Outdoor Dining Table by Carl Hansen & Søn
The Mogensen Outdoor Dining Table by Carl Hansen was created at the end of the 1960s. The Danish designer Børge Mogensen designed it as an addition to his deck chair series, which is characterised by classic and durable teak constructions.
Reissued by Carl Hansen & Søn, the purposeful design helps to bring people and nature together in a thoughtful and inspiring way. Made from solid, untreated and FSC-certified teak, the products' linear silhouette features carefully considered details, including gently rounded ends and equally spaced rivets.
Børge Mogensen - designer of the people
Børge Mogensen is considered "the people's designer " - partly because of his pleasant personality and partly because he designed high-quality furniture that was also accessible to the masses .
He is one of the most influential designers of the post-war period and a leading representative of Danish Modern. in 1950 he founded his own design studio and produced modern and useful furniture from local Nordic materials.
