Refined: Mite LED Anniversario Floor Lamp Foscarino
For many years, lamp lovers from all over the world have fallen in love with the great lamp icon Mite from the Italian manufacturer Foscarini; quite rightly, it was awarded the coveted Compasso d'Oro design prize. Now, Mite is 20 years old and celebrates this birthday with a revised style, which goes into the special edition Mite Anniversario. For example, the carbon wire is much thinner and mounted with a wider spiral that becomes narrower towards the base. The surface is matt instead of glossy, which makes the effect of the lines much greater. For the Mite floor lamp, Foscarini has used a specially developed and patented material. From ski boot patent to design lamp icon

In the early 1970s, Sadler perfected the first ski boot in Thermo Plast, which was later launched by the Italian company Caber (better known as Lotto) and led to the patenting of ski boots with symmetrical shells. Sadler's ski boots became the world's best-selling ski boots for many
years. Marc Sadler, born in Austria in 1946 and a French citizen, conquered other design areas with his ideas, including the world of lamps. For Fascarini, in addition to the iconic Mite, he also designed the Tite lamps and the Twiggy lamps. Sadler experiments a lot with plastic and is a sought-after consultant worldwide.
Foscarini: world-famous design brand
With its extravagant design lamps, the Italian manufacturer Foscarini has made a name for itself worldwide. Striking design, always a bit crazy - many experiments with colours and materials - all this also attracts designers.
