Ferruccio Laviani
Ferruccio Laviani first began to learn the trade of a violin maker, but broke off his apprenticeship to study architecture and design at the Polytechnic in Milan. As early as 1983, he had worked for designer Michele De Lucci and later became his partner. in 1991 he finally became self-employed and celebrated a great success with the trade fair appearance of Kartell at the Salone internazionale del mobile. In the following years, he developed, among others, the famous ceiling lamp Fly and the popular table lamps Bourgie and Battery.
