Why have just one stool when you can have several. Millepiedi from Studio Catoir takes the archetypal milking stool a step further and becomes a minimalist-creative design object on which it is also possible to sit well - whether alone or in a group.

The irregular repetition of the legs playfully underlines the naturalness of the material used as well as the craftsmanship that is necessary for the assembly of the individual elements . In addition, the fascinating design of the bench evokes the image of a centipede, which only emphasises the beautiful and at the same time surprising look.

Studio Catoir

Behind the Parisian design studio is the married couple Elisa and Michael Catoir. Since their founding in 2006, the two have specialised in furniture design and the interior design of private homes and boutique hotels. In doing so, they work closely with competent craftsmen and always keep an eye on the personality and wishes of their customers.

In their designs, they reinterpret traditional materials and techniques and combine time-honoured craftsmanship skills with innovative designs. Their complementary approaches are the key to their creative practice.

Material and format

The Millepiedi bench has five seats and a total of seven irregularly arranged legs. It is made of solid ash, open-pore ebonised, and is available in three colour variations

The bench measures W 155 x D 35 x H 42 cm.
