Mayor 2-seater sofa AJ6 by andtradition
in 1939 Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen won an open competition to design a new town hall, library and theatre for the town of Rudersdal. The designed town hall includes a wedding room with associated furniture, including the Mayor Sofa. This is where couples should be able to wait for their wedding to begin. In keeping with the ceremony, the sofa is designed to be particularly refined and of high quality, with high backrests that create the perfect retreat.
Arne Jacobsen & Flemming Lassen
Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen are among Scandinavia's most influential architects. The representatives of Danish modernism are known for their functionalist design. Together they designed the award-winning House of the Future - a spiral-shaped house with a helicopter landing pad, conveyor pipe for mail and a kitchen with ready-made meals. They designed numerous other individual projects for which they received international recognition.
Material and format
The sofa has a base in solid oak or walnut, a frame in solid wood and elastic straps, CMHR foam and a fabric or leather cover. It is 138 cm wide, 62 cm deep and 82 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.
Cover material:- Canvas: 90% virgin wool (combed), 10% nylon
- Remix: 90% new wool (combed), 10% nylon
- Hallingdal: 70% new wool, 30% viscose
- Steelcut Trio: 90% new wool (combed), 10% nylon
