The shapely and impressive Matéria series by Classicon is characterised by a monochrome look and a peaceful aura. The interplay between travertine stone and wood creates a special symbiosis, resulting in a high-quality and appealing table. The German designer Christian Haas designed the table together with Classicon.
Classicon - Classic and Contemporary
ClassiCon is a German company based in Munich, which already knows how to harmoniously combine Classic and Contemporary in its name. Founded in 1990 by Stephan Fischer von Poturzyn, ClassiCon succeeded the traditional "Vereinigte Werkstätten" and took over their licence agreements. Big names of classical furniture design such as Eileen Gray, Eckart Muthesius and Otto Blümel have formed the cornerstone of the product portfolio from the very beginning. But ClassiCon's concept goes further: in addition to masterful design classics, the manufacturer also promotes the work of outstanding young designers. The aim is to maintain timeless aesthetics, high functionality and independence from short-lived fashion trends in the area of tension between classic and contemporary modernism.
Material and format
The side table consists of a frame made of solid maple wood. The elaborately milled tabletop is made of high-quality travertine stone. It is 170 cm wide, 39 cm deep and 23 cm high.
