The Swedish manufacturer Lectus in Mönsterås has had the exclusive right to produce the complete range since 1995. It all started with the National Museum in Stockholm. There, the people in charge had been looking for a stable and easily foldable seat for years, but they just couldn't find what they were looking for. Finally, the designer Hans Ehrich from A&E Design AB took up the challenge. The result was the Stockholm II museum stool, which Lectus now produces in large numbers.
