Cuero Design - A second generation family business
Cuero Design is a second-generation family business that has been importing luxury leather goods from South America to Sweden since 1986. Founder Lars Kjerstadius eventually discovered the Butterfly Chair, a classic design from Argentina, and was immediately enamoured with it. He dedicated 15 years of his life to improving the shape and quality of this iconic piece.
His son Nils and his wife Agustina continue the legacy of Cuero Design together. The Mariposa chairs from Cuero Design are available in different materials and colours, including sheepskin, leather and canvas. The frames are made in Sweden from solid Swedish steel.
Cuero Design attaches great importance to quality and comfort. The Butterfly Chair has been redesigned by Lars Kjerstadius in Sweden to be 30% larger than the original and offer a more comfortable seating position. This version is known as the Swedish Butterfly Chair and is a sign of the company's ongoing innovation.
Lars' passion for perfection is reflected in his constant endeavours to produce the best Butterfly Chair in the world. The brand emphasises that today there is no such thing as an "original" Butterfly Chair, it is all about quality and comfort.
