Classicon - Classic and Contemporary
ClassiCon is a German company based in Munich that already knows how to harmoniously combine classic and contemporary in its name. Founded in 1990 by Stephan Fischer von Poturzyn, ClassiCon succeeded the traditional "Vereinigte Werkstätten" and took over their licence agreements. Big names in classical furniture design such as Eileen Gray, Eckart Muthesius and Otto Blümel formed the cornerstone of the product portfolio from the very beginning.
But ClassiCon's concept goes further: in addition to masterful design classics, the manufacturer also promotes the work of outstanding young designers. The aim is to maintain timeless aesthetics, high functionality and independence from short-lived fashion trends in the area of conflict between classic and contemporary modernity. Poturzyn's successor Oliver Holy continues to follow this philosophy.
First and foremost, all ClassiCon products are always of the highest quality. That's why every piece of furniture from the Classic Collection is provided with an individual number and an indelible inscription. This signature guarantees careful processing using high-quality materials. Every buyer of an original piece of ClassiCon furniture receives a product that meets the highest quality standards.
ClassiCon takes the view that the fascination of a new formal idea is more important than the degree of recognition of the author. This is why the manufacturer not only produces established design classics: out of conviction, it invests in young designers whose exciting ideas combine timeless aesthetics with individuality - because according to ClassiCon, only such designs have the power to prove themselves on the market in the long term.
