The famous cachepots by Bjørn Wiinblad have a particularly lovely design and exude a cool retro charm with their colourful decorations and beautiful women's faces. Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Copenhagen in 1918. He showed a distinct talent for inventing and drawing imaginative worlds at an early age.
Wiinblad's style was anything but Danish, for where functionalism was en vogue at the time, the designer chose a more playful path with ruffled motifs, many colours and romantic universes. Thus, he also devoted himself to drawing on the ceramics for which he is known today.
